I have a condition where one of the symptoms is chronic pain, the only treatments are physio, walking aids, joint supports and pain management. It is genetic, lifelong and degenerative. In a cruel twist of fate, we also seem to be somewhat resistant to many pain medications. I've had to have enormous dosages of morphine to feel any affects while in hospital, even as a child.

I'm not affected by this war on prescription pain killers, because I'm in the UK. But since this has begun, all the forums for advice and support for this condition are full of people who are having their lives ruined by it.

They are losing the ability to work, leave the house, look after their families. They are becoming bedridden, wheelchair bound... they are commiting suicide. Because a life with nothing but pain where you are stripped of your ability to do anything for yourself or the people around you is unbearable. They don't all have the strength to fight through pain and immobility to get the medication they need to live, and they shouldn't have to.

Because of the new regulations doctors and pharmacists are afraid to hand them the prescriptions that they need. Even when there is no sign of abuse, it's easier not to give them the meds then worry about possible prosecution later down the line.

This is killing people on the other side of the opioid crisis as well. It needs to be done better, and quickly.

That's exactly what I thought. PR would have bent over backwards to make people happy. Morgan Freeman was giving short answers that were slathered in dry humour which wasn't appreciated at all by the looks of it. Honestly, I thought he was hilarious, but once people started talking about it possibly being a 'fake' ama, it was game over.

Yeah, I was honestly shocked to see his name there. I'm pissed at him for other political reasons, but antisemitism? No.

You'd think someone who's invested in the subject, and even talked about the difference between criticising Israel and being antisemitic earlier in the thread would be able to see he's never supported anything of the sort.

Really want to see an answer to this one. Especially as she was the one to bring his name up...
