How do the children/adults react after they start to see?

Do they see right away when the surgery finishes or were they put to sleep first?

I have a couple of questions that I've always wanted to get answered:

• How hard was it to learn your language skills when you were younger? I mean a lot of the words I use in daily life I learned through my eyes. For example, when someone told me that the name of that fruit is a banana, I would remember it right away since I know what it looks like and whenever I see it, my brain would be like "Oh hey, that's a banana". But how hard was it to learn words or even know what grammar is or utilize it if you can't physically see it? Along with that, how did you learn what parenthesis are or what adjectives are?

• Since you cannot see, how do you know for sure if you woke up or not? I mean it can be obvious most of the times, but have you ever confused your dream life with real life?

• Do you know what objects such as cars or planes are actually shaped like or do you know them just by what they do? Have you ever felt or shaped out with any of your working muscles to realize what a human being would look like?

• I understand that having no ability to see is normal for you, but has anyone ever accurately described to you what vision or color is? Is the color you see, or the nothingness you see "black" or do you not realize that you're looking at a color (although you are blind, I'm assuming that the nothingness you see is the color "black")?

• Do you think you have a correct perception of how big planet Earth is or how big the sky is? Since you know how tall you roughly are, have people used your height to describe to you how big something else is?

• Has someone ever fooled you into thinking that you're with someone else?

How do you train the dogs to find truffles? A brief outline would be enough.
