You've convinced me a bit with that Big Lebowski reference, one of my all time favorites.

I'm a long-time metacritic user. How would you convince me that Rotten Tomatoes is better? I prefer metacritic because they use numerical scores (which allows greater accuracy than a simple rotten or fresh), among other reasons.

If the people managing the voting process are dishonest and corrupt, they can rig the election regardless of the voting medium, such as by literally stuffing the ballot boxes with extra paper ballots or throwing paper ballots away. I don't see how electronic voting machines are any different.

It depends on your intention for voting. You can vote because you want to exercise your right to vote and express support for the candidate who most shares your values regardless of their chance of winning. Or, you can vote in order to help your preferred choice of candidates among those who could actually win. Either choice is valid, as long as you are realistic about the fact that while Mitt Romney is unlikely to win, no candidate besides Obama or Romney has any chance at all of winning this election.

That is true, though those public funds would be dwarfed by all the campaign cash post-Citizens United.
