There's a thing put there called a zip it you can shove into sinks/showers/tubs and grab the hair. It's a long flexible piece of plastic with some tines coming out the side.

I'm sure his lawyers had told him they were on solid ground airing the tape, so he thought he was safe to he cocky. If you don't think that it can fuck you being flippant or rude is much more likely.

I don't agree with him on everything, but if all you got from his "saftey third" thing is that he wants all workplace saftey to go away, you missed the point.

From his website:

If Safety were really first, companies would pay their employees to be safe. Of course, they don’t. They pay them to work, and to assume risk. Saying “Safety Third” reminds me of that simple fact. And that keeps my crew and me more focused, and hopefully, more safe.

And if you don't think workers need to remember that their safety is their responsibility I question if you've ever worked a job that had very real risk of serious injury. The companies job is to provide training. Training doesn't ever cover every risk. Your job is to figure out the risks that training doesn't cover, and find a way to mitigate them. Not to mention the rules (while important, and written in blood) are not flexible at all, so sometimes they needlessly complicate tasks or make the work more dangerous than it needs to be.

If you need a plumber to talk to let me know. I'm in my early 30s and have been working in the trade since I was 18. Oh, and I also teach at the local plumbing school.

You want fucked up, look into the history of the Manhattan project and Navajo people. It's got everything: medical experiments without informed consent, superfund sites, and the government waiting until the 2000s and later to start properly dealing with the repercussions.
