my dad watched this movie last night after i told him to. i didn't mention it was anti-flat earth, just that it was a documentary that i "hadn't seen". he watched it and he's still a flat earther.

he asked me why if the earth is spinning so fast around the sun and everything is still, why does 60 mph wind fuck everything up? guess he's never heard of the atmosphere. he also told me the documentary featured a gyroscope that proved the earth wasnt spinning, just drifting.

this all started a few years ago when my dad got tv access to youtube and started relying on that for most of his non-network-news tv watching.

its really fucked up how brainwashed he's become, much like the flat earthers and fox newsers. i have a feeling its because he doesnt engage in real world politics/issues in his normal/social life and instead smokes weed and gets sucked into the pseudo-scientific void.. nothing against weed, though.

actually, i'm wrong, he does follow trump closely, so there's uh.. "politics".

the crazy thing is he asks me all these earth questions that, to him, are unanswerable, but literally every answer is on google if he bothered to type them in.

ps: i loved the movie

he's famous though! that's why he has to wear shirts telling people who he is.

i wish we coud crush the earth with an industrial hammer or press to make it flat :(
