i never really got the whole bone marrow transplant concept. obviously they don't just take the marrow out of your bones. do these white blood cells turn into marrow in the recipient or something?

I have no idea why people would take their computer to best buy. Just seeing how incredibly sales oriented the employees are, to the point that it is insulting at times, you can get a pretty good idea that you are going to be ripped off if you take things to them to get fixed. Most towns have at least one mom and pop kind of computer place and, if not, you could always hit up the classified section or craigslist and find computer repair with flat rate charges. In my area, most of these guys (I am one of those guys) charges just a flat $50 for labor.
