Eat them.

Would you eat meat if it was raised ethically? What about eggs? If you had a bunch of happy chickens raised ethically, what would be unethical about eating their eggs?

I don't buy them from a hatchery. I hatch them myself.

So can you answer my question?

What is wrong with raising chickens for eggs?

do not allow people who have been placed on psychiatric holds to own or possess firearms.

This is not true. Its extremely easy to get someone on a 72 hour psych hold. Plenty of people that just lose a loved one and have a breakdown will go to a 72 hour hold and then be released and just fine, they don't lose their gun rights. A cop or doctor can have you 5150ed but a judge is needed before you lose your rights, typically.

They need a judge to commit them to a mental instutition usually. Here is what the ATF says:

A person is “adjudicated as a mental defective” if a court, board, commission, or other lawful authority has made a determination that a person, as a result of marked subnormal intelligence, mental illness, incompetency, condition, or disease:

™ Is a danger to himself or to others;

™ Lacks the mental capacity to contract or manage his own affairs;

™ Is found insane by a court in a criminal case; or

™ Is found incompetent to stand trial, or not guilty by reason of lack of mental responsibility, pursuant to articles 50a and 72b of the Uniform Code of Military Justice, 10 U.S.C. §§ 850a, 876b.

A person is “committed to a mental institution” if that person has been formally committed to a mental institution by a court, board, commission, or other lawful authority. The term includes a commitment:

™ To a mental institution involuntarily;

™ For mental defectiveness or mental illness; or

™ For other reasons, such as for drug use.

The term does not include a person in a mental institution for observation or by voluntary admission.

The term “lawful authority” means an entity having legal authority to make adjudications or commitments.

The term “mental institution” includes mental health facilities, mental hospitals, sanitariums, psychiatric facilities,

and other facilities that provide diagnoses by licensed professionals of mental retardation or mental illness, including

a psychiatric ward in a general hospital.

I personally have severe PTSD and anxiety and panic attacks stemming from that, and I did commit myself for awhile, 5 days, and I did not lose my gun rights. I just got very fast medical care and medication, group therapy, case manager, etc. Committing yourself gets you help fast, whereas I would have had to wait 6 months to see a psychiatrist on my health insurance.

night sweats.

I get the same thing. A fan helps. I also like the noise. I can't stand silence when I sleep because I have auditory flashbacks when its too quiet.
