Back in 2007, I posted a thread on Harmony Central about some transistors I had found. You, or someone from your company replied to it with some information and said that you/they were looking for some of the ones I had (specifically, 2N1308s). I believe I sent a package of them in the mail shortly after that.

Do you use this particular transistor in a design anymore and if so, can you tell me which pedal? I'd really like to hear how it sounds.

What kind of gear was used at that time for direction finding and other communications interception?

Around the same time I built a typical two transistor fuzz using the 1308 in Q1 and the 1711 in Q2 (or vice versa). It sounded kind of generic until I fed an MPF102 (or one of its variants) based preamp into it. That turned it into a very, very noisy monster.

Using the 1308 and a 1711 in a Fuzz Face circuit, properly biased, is my favorite "version" of the FF.
