because I’m not a citizen, state laws didn’t apply.

This is not true. State laws apply to anyone who is physically in the state, regardless of citizenship or immigration status.

Every person who is physically in the United States falls under the laws of the state or territory he/she is in, as well as all federal law. Citizenship or immigration status has no bearing whatsoever.

Also, calling it "million dollar bet"? A million dollar bet means the loser pays the winner a million dollars. Like hell he or his parents would ever agree to such terms. They didn't bet a million dollars, they bet his college enrollment.

The tens of millions of tourists to the US have a tremendously positive economic effect on our country.

Are tourists considered immigrants? They're not going to work, or buy homes, or get educations, or do any of the other things that are the economic concerns of immigration.

Is that video narrated by yourself (or a colleague)?

Perhaps there is no polite way to say this, but the narrator has a very strong foreign accent, and it sounds nothing like a pirate accent. Like it or not, people will notice it, and not in a good way.

You really should have the narration re-done by a native speaker of English. (If possible, a pirate, or second choice, an assassin.)
