So terms prohibit it - are there any technical reasons why Apps for Office could not work?

I think the touch friendly ribbon motif in Office on iPad is a good balance between being tuned to the needs of the platform and retaining visual familiarity for loyal users. Oh, and I also like the Excel keyboard!
