This is so cool! I have a few questions if you don't mind answering them.

What are the biggest differences you percieve in the actual culture and people of Saudi Arabia vs. how the American media portrays it? What about the biggest similarities?

How much of a divide is there between the older and younger generations? I saw you mention something about that in an earlier post.

I like to cook, but have unfortunately not gotten into middle eastern food. What are some Saudi dishes I should try out? (and if you have recipes you know are good that helps out even more considering I have no experience with this)

What do you typically spend free time doing?

What kind of future do you imagine for yourself and your friends?

Thanks for taking the time to answer any of these if you do. I always find it incredibly interesting to see the perspective of people so far away from myself.

Just piggybacking to comment that the original one off lamar is a whole other thing compared to the others. Go to the one in central austin for the best selection and most knowledgeable staff. They cater towards the nice restaurants around austin, so they tend to have available more niche items, like all proper cheese I use for greek food or a kind of fish or other meat.

How do you deal with those who don't outright deny the holocaust, but claim that Nazism is simply political discourse? I've been running into that a lot lately, with people downplaying the significance of nazism and nazi imagery, seemingly ignoring the horrific atrocities committed by them. I have had arguments with people who *go to my university* (which is a tier one research institution and full of brilliant minds) who claim that the swastika is not a symbol of genocide, for example. These people seem to acknowledge the existence of the holocaust, but do not acknowledge the depth of the evils and horrors and depravity of the nazi party. I have found this even harder to argue against than those who can be factually disproven when they outright deny recorded history.
