How should conversations on dating apps typically go? I am struggling with this a lot.

Is it normal for the guy to always be completely carrying the conversation or is that a red flag? I find it extremely difficult to transition. The only interest I see is really just the fact that we matched and I feel no connection at all. Most of my chats just meander into no where.
