I was wondering: to what extent do you attribute your success to

  • a shifting social climate
  • your changed publishing strategy
  • your writing skills improving and perhaps breaking through a 'publishable' ceiling
  • other factors?

  2. You haven't disproved the point. Her argument is that high quality sells. You have asserted that low quality also sells, which doesn't disprove what she said. To disprove it, you would need to find high quality books that don't sell. I think you'll have a tough job finding that evidence because high quality does sell. :-)
