Irish people, particularly bar tenders and the like dont want a tip just for doing their job. In our eyes a tip is given for someone going above and beyond their role,going the extra mile for someone etc. That is too worthy,tipping on demand for something you do daily while other people don't get that luxury feels....shitty. if an employee does an amazing job by all means tip them but just dont throw it out to them for just going through the motions Edit: Also most people that have change from their order tell the proprietor to throw it in the donation box for the poor
