Most handled well, and the bands totally do everything they can to prevent it, just the higher rate of occurrence is what is frustrating. Had a good friend get groped at a Soho show at the Cambridge a few years back, lots of slurs getting thrown around, not the best vibe.

I'm friends with a lot of fantastic powerful women who play punk music, and I'm not so sure about them being renowned for being really good with women. Lots of calls for getting tits out, merch desk encounters, bad vibes.

How do you feel about some of the "bro" culture that seems to surface at punk shows in Australia?

Obviously is a lot of fun to sink beers with mates, but I've seen a lot of gross misogynistic and violent stuff at gigs that you guys, Smith Street, and others have put on recently. Both you and Smithies have been excellent about addressing it, but it still goes on!

Do you think this is just a result of a wider audience = wider dickhead reach?
