EDIT: Also, I've read that Alexis Bledel actually hates coffee, though her character loves it. They apparently filled her cup with Coke. Any other behind-the-scenes trivia you can share?

I recently accepted my invitation to serve as a Community Health Volunteer in Rwanda. I know you’ve done some excellent work in Sudan, so I have a few questions for you:

Your work with the Satellite Sentinel project is inspiring to say the least. Do you have plans to return to Sudan now that there’s even more turmoil and civil unrest?

I’ve never been out of the country… let alone to Africa. I’m so humbled by this opportunity and grateful to the Peace Corps, but I’m also nervous! Do you have any advice for becoming accustomed to the culture?
