• Fill the 5L jug with water from the 8L - 8L:3 5L:5 3L:0
• Fill the 3L jug with water from the 5L - 8L:3 5L:2 3L:3
• Empty the 3L jug into the 8L - 8L:6 5L:2 3L:0
• Empty the 5L jug into the 3L - 8L:6 5L:0 3L:2
• Fill the 5L jug with water from the 8L - 8L:1 5L:5 3L:2
• Top off the 3L jug with water from the 5L - 8L:1 5L:4 3L:3
• Empty the 3L jug into the 8L - 8L:4 5L:4 3L:0
