I have two Dyson DC 33's (in-laws bought them on sale at like half price). They seem pretty easy to take apart and clean and maintain and I use them as shop vacs without any sign of them stopping. I've tried the ones with the ball and I fucking hate them.

Did it blow your mind you see that trees have details from a distance?

My vision basically went to extreme near sighted over the course of a year in 4th grade. Driving home being able to see the trees and road signs is a memory I still have like 20 years later.

seen huge losses in insect and pollinator populations.

I hate this so much. I don't even like bugs but I think of them as the "plankton of the earth". This year is my first zoning off an area and planting wildflower seeds (which I also know can be a problem). They finally bloomed this week with many more coming and every time I look there have been bees (and all sorts of other bugs) in it.

At this point I think I really want to study wildlife and ecology and preservation. What do you think are currently the best avenues to do this?

I know it's off topic for this thread but your healthcare provider (physician, dentist, etc) should absolutely be working with you and for you, no other way. There's no reason why you should leave an appointment not understanding why they did something or other or didn't explain to you the results. Understand that they might not be able to fix everything, but they should also be explaining why and you agreeing with it.
