This is one of those things that anyone who knows basic logic and statistics already knew. 86% of the corn grown is not used for food- it is used to feed livestock and for ethanol.

So just extrapolate from that. I always find it funny scientists spend so much time to prove common sense.

Like do people believe USDA has the best interest of US citizens in mind? If they do I have a bridge to sell them.

How do you differentiate between someone being "weird" and someone having genuine, pathological / psychological problems? I find the biggest problem is that society just lumps both categories together. Also what is your methodology for finding someone weird since someone can fake that. (A lot of people pretend to be weird because it is cool).

I am genuinely curious as to why you think people join ISIS? Is it because America is dropping bombs on civilians from drones and thus creating new recruits (the World War II theory)? Or is it because ISIS provides the services the corrupt governments do not? Or is it because these people have no other choice / hope?

I also find the theory that the war in Syria is mainly a result of global warming interesting (farmers have to move into cities and they have different beliefs leading to clashes)- what do you think of this theory?

Wow what a rigid methodology. So this entire thing is subjective. You are not finding weirdos you are finding people who you think are weird and weird on the outside not the inside. Do you have any objective classification at all? How do you control for confirmation bias? How do you know they are actually different?
