So odd. This just happened to me. A guy asked for food at the grocery store. He kinda came up out of nowhere and I had my baby girl on me. I was a little freaked and brushed him off. Then I thought about the example I'd be setting if my girl was old enough to understand what happened. So when a lady asked for gas money at Target a couple days later I said yes without skipping a beat. I felt a little silly, like maybe I'd been taken advantage of. But your words make me feel like there is real value in helping people without question. Thank you for sharing this.

I just got back from a vacation in Vietnam. Does it surprise your Dad that Americans can visit this place so freely now? Would he ever consider going back?
