Can you define / elaborate on "Macbook-like"?

Being somewhat of a coder myself (although mostly as a hobby in the recent past), I kinda get what you are trying to say. But I just don't get why loving your own code / project (or favourite distro, desktop or whatever) leads to hate towards alternative/competing projects.
