Hello, I am a mod of /r/JillStein and /r/GreenParty.

It has disappointed some of us that there is a paragraph in the green platform that says:

We support the teaching, funding and practice of holistic health approaches and as appropriate, the use of complementary and alternative therapies such as herbal medicines, homeopathy, naturopathy, traditional Chinese medicine and other healing approaches.

Many secular voters support the Green Party, and we support a scientific approach. Would you be willing to remove this from the platform and not fund Homeopathic and *traditional medicine?

And what are your thoughts on the socialist idea (many socialists support you) that workers should own the means of production? Would be willing to set us on a path to reach that goal?

EDIT: Grammar

EDIT2: Also, would you mind explaining for those redditors who have not looked into the Green platform what the "Green New Deal" and "Economic Bill of rights" would include?

Wonderful!

Also, if anyone is wondering about the economic BOR, it basically says that money is not speech and reverses "Citizens United".

Thanks for the reply!

I completely agree that being reviewed by agencies such as those is extremely problematic! I think that before we fund any research we should contemplate on whether the approach has been tried before. Sciencebase has a great article on this. The reason I make an issue out of this is that many people, when they see that, will dismiss the Green Party as a "Hippy" party.
