Meh, having visited both, pretty sure America has more religious people, or atleast - its more visible.

It is in Italy's culture, but hardly anyone in the bigger cities is religious.

Also, noticed in that series of photos posted here, that you have a group of people, how many ? and does its numbers not invite more security ?

I went on vacation to the states, and it also suprised me that people are SO friendly, esp in the South !

I also had a RV, and at most RV parks(not the right word) I only had to mention I was Dutch, and people would insist me to stay over and eat with them.

This, does not happen in The Netherlands.
