I'd like your dad to know that even though most youth in America cannot relate to his experiences there are many who have great respect and empathy for people from another culture. For me having people like your family here is what America is all about and I'm proud of that sentiment.

Duuude. As a mother, no as a decent human being it really makes my heart ache for that child. You deserve love and care and there is someone out there who will want to give it to you. I wish you all the best.

I think this is probably the healthy way to approach this. I have 2 kids, a son nearly 9 and a daughter nearly 7. They learned awhile ago to respect privacy, but all the same, if my son busts in my room when I'm changing, I tell him to knock next time while covering myself I don't make him feel dirty for having seen, if that makes sense, we tell our daughter the exact same thing.
