Jeez, I'm sorry, I think I phrased my question poorly. I was hoping for some stories about ad libs or scenes that were cut that pushed the envelope, because I loved them. I think this film is hysterical and groundbreaking, and didn't feel any disrespect toward the topic or my own experience at all. You know how sometimes after you go through something, it just feels so healing to laugh at it? I loved the scene right after her procedure, with all the women afterwards, trying to be respectfully distant but at the same time connect a little. So many authentic moments that I was like, "Sigh. They get it. :)" I just loved this movie, thank you for making it.

Hi, Jenny Slate !! Thank you for your emotional and truthful portrayal of a story that mattered a great deal to me and many of my girlfriends. The only thing that surprised me was your characters raw and unabashed joy at poking fun of any hot button topic - i loved the "murder suey" jokes - but not as many about the process of abortion. Was there more salacious black humor cut out of the script, or its absence an attempt to show solemnity for a decision that takes thoughtful consideration?
