How has that memory changed your life? Did you have any sort of profound realization that moved you? What life decisions did you make that would have otherwise been different if 9/11 never happened?

I was in middle school when this happened. They didnt tell us anything. Some kids were pulled from school. When I got home, my mom was crying, hoping that there wouldn't be a draft where they would send my brothers away.

Anyone else remember where they were when 9/11 happened?

Did you guys, before she lost her words, have the closure talk? Did you feel you had closure? Have you needed a therapist after this?

You are a good friend, and kudos to your husband for distracting your kid while it went down.

I had a conversation with my grandmother before she died clearing the air of my teenagehood where i wasnt particularly nice to her. She forgave me and then watched more antique roadshow.

Did you guys have conversations like that?

Have you tried something new in honor of her memory? I read a previous comment she was a talented artist, have you tried to tap into her by painting? Have you felt the need to?

I just recently watched an episode of greys anatomy where they touched this subject. It intrigues me. Thank you for providing an ama.

When I went in to buy my first car, they told me I had to buy a 20000 dollar car, outside my means, because it was "less risky". I wanted a 10000 dollar car. They told me its just the name of the game. Banks want to screw you over.
