It spared the lives of other people? That's got some pretty dark connotations dude. But I'm glad you managed to get past it. Do you have any advice for those of us who are currently stuck with negative thought patterns? Was there anything specific said to you by your managers that really helped?

Yes it is? Certainly in terms of supporting the artists

Hey Ken. I was wondering, have you looked into any potential future cures/treatments for your condition, stuff like stem cell therapy? I know that any such treatments are likely a long way off, but do you think it's possible that you'll see anything like that within your lifetime?

Have you tried going out to bars, getting a few drinks in you for some "Dutch courage" and then just talking to people? I know you're shy but if you don't give it a try, you'll remain as you are. Just swallow your fear and talk to people, they don't bite.* Also, if you can afford it, try travelling abroad, and stay at hostels. You might not make permanent friends but you're guaranteed to meet people that way, and forcing yourself into that kind of situation will surely alleviate the shyness eventually.

*just avoid Luis Suárez.

Man, I always think I have it bad until I see something like this. I was 20 in 2008 when I had an injury that has left me in near-constant pain...but I still have full mobility, so it really doesn't compare at all. Nonetheless, I know how much it sucks to have an injury that changes your life. You seem to be taking it remarkably well, and I think that's really admirable. For me the psychological side of things has been as bad if not worse than the physical aspect, so kudos on not letting that get to you as much as it has a weaker-willed person like me. I'm fairly confident that medical science will really be able to help (if not cure) the likes of us within our lifetimes, although it might not be as fast as we hope. Just hang in there. I guess I don't really have a question, but I will give some advice - your planned route seems to stop in the north of Croatia. I just got back from holiday there, and I'd really recommend cycling down the coast to Dubrovnik (or at least Split), if you have the time. Bosnia is also really beautiful...just something to think about.

*My comment was auto-deleted because it didn't have a question, so here's one: What sort of work do you want to do, and also in general what do you want to do with your life now?
