Once you have a successful investigation on a factory farm (especially one that becomes national news), there's pretty much no chance that you'd get another job in the industry without someone finding out your secret; you'll be blacklisted and even if you make it back in, you'd feel constantly afraid of someone finding the name/article. And you have to assume that the employer will spread your name to everyone they can, even if the media didn't report it.

Daiya's decent when melted, but it's on the low end of the non-dairy cheese spectrum. Miyoko's Kitchen, Field Roast Chao, Avellana Creamery, Door86, Treeline, Vtopian, and Dr. Cow are some of the higher end brands.

The question was "which suppliers are best to buy from to ensure we don't support some of the horrible treatment that I have heard about?" The best way to ensure that you aren't supporting horrible treatment is to not buy animal products when you have access to alternatives. Even on the "best case scenario farms," continuing to buy animal products when you have access to alternatives is to intentionally contribute to the suffering, slaughter and/or exploitation of others for habit, convenience or pleasure, which are among the worst reasons one could give for supporting such practices--especially when one could do otherwise simply by choosing different products.
