There is a limit on how many employment-based green cards can be provided to people born in one country. And it's evenly distributed for each country. That means Greenland Citizens (population: 56000) get the same number of green cards allocated to as Indians(1.3 Billion). This creates a backlog of decades for Indians/Chinese and they get exploited by their employers because their green card application is tied to the employer. That drives the wages down and results in loss of American employment.

H.R. 392 will eliminate this limit and make the process fair for everyone. This bill has 300 co-sponsors but it's not anywhere close to being voted on. Hope it made you / redittors aware of the situation that a lot of people are in!

I paid 8K . Had good insurance thankfully. It’s crazy how inflated medical costs are. I had a bill of 500K for the year!! I will be interested in knowing how much something similar costs elsewhere.

what do you think about HR392 and the fact that some high skilled immigrants have to wait for 70 years (no, its not a typo. It is 70 years) for their green card in the current system?
