This is all a great idea, but you seem a little out-of-touch with the reality of the types of people you are dealing with in this business. Yes, PayDay Loan companies are predatory and should die... but there's a reason that only the predatory ones survive: because you are primarily dealing with people that not only lack cash flow, but also lack a significant amount of understanding and respect for economics. In other words, you're dealing with a lot of people who either don't have the money to repay you, don't give a shit about repaying you, or both.

I think the best thing you can do is work on regulating these types of businesses and/or pushing economic education upon the demographics that tend to utilize them. In particular, understanding that economics is better played long-term than short-term. There is a reason that the saying exists that wealthy people care about their pennies, not their dollars... It's because gaining wealth is a long-term game. Many members of poorer communities, paradoxically, don't understand this at all and, as a result, tend to throw good money after bad.

tl;dr: Saving $5 is better than a $5 lottery ticket. Make people understand that, and you will make an enormous difference.

When I bought my house I tested at 3.1. A more recent test measures 2.1. I understand that this is below the EPA's action level, but I'd like to do some light mitigation regardless. My sump pit can be sealed and I have a basement window right above it that I think would be a good place for a fan.

Do you have any recommendations on a DIY set up for this?

I appreciate your time an expertise!
