I served in the Army infantry in Iraq 04-05 OIF3. I went through some rough shit but came home physically unscathed. I am not diagnosed with PTSD and don't feel like I have it. But I do get anxious in large crowds, I am hyperaware of debris in the road, and am always cogniscent of potential situations where I could be sniped. However, these issues benefit me, I believe, in my current line of work (law enforcement). I do have lingering physical pains which I am sure derive from my time in the Army.
You and others state that you deserve your disability pay and are looking forward to the back pay, which I agree with, but when you are "healed", are you going to go the VA and tell them so that they stop paying you disabiltity? What do you think of the people who claim PTSD who were not combat related or ever left the wire and are now getting paid by the government for the rest of their lives? Not trying to be an ass, or disrespect you in any way. I know of plenty of people who abuse the PTSD diagnosis and it irks me..

Former 1/5 Inf grunt outta Ft Lewis. Thanks for your sacrifice brother. Who performed first aid on you and did they immediately apply tourniquets? Number one medical aid device you carried? And is that you singing in the pic, and what are your influences musically?

Thanks for doing this brother. Just curious about your current dept. Hows the staffing in patrol, as well as K-9? Our K-9 is slowly being re-staffed after practically being disbanded a few years ago. We usually only have 2 dogs plus a Sgt city-wide, and its a big city..
