Let that serve as an example.
license plate manufacture in prisons in the US, or the way we treat a few war combatants
Are you seriously justifying modern slave labor and torture (as defined by Article 1 of the United Nations convention against torture and other cruel, inhumane or degrading treatment) that your country has been convicted of committing, just because another country did something similiar? How old are you, 8?

Some of them did commit crimes, some of them didn't. Are you seriously implying that 100% of prisoners in America are guilty, while all North Koreans are some pious some utopistic boy scouts who never did crime? Justice system of America is not know for it's righteousness either.
And I'm not even gonna go into all the political prisoners like Bradley Manning, or extreme torture prison centers like Abu Grabhi and Guantamo bay where many innocent prisoners were not only held captive illegally but tortured on a daily basis. Then there is the patriot act, which allows authorities to legally detain anyone they want for any reason, just or not, and hold them captive without any limitations.

If you wanted to talk figures, you should have read the article first.
While the United States represents about 5 percent of the world's population, it houses around 25 percent of the world's prisoners.
Also, two wrong don't make a right. I'm not saying either one is better, I'm simply reflecting the hypocrisy of you "free" western posters condemning another country when you are hardly any better. Take the log out of your own eye before you remove speck out of your brother's, as it were.

Population in North-Korean "Torture" prisons: 200,000
Population in American private for-profit prisons (aka modern slavery camps): 2,300,000

How easy is it to visit North-Korea as a private tourist? How safe is it? What are the typical daily expenses in dollars?
Also pay not mind to these guys downvoting your posts and whining, they are just bunch of brainwashed tumblers spoonfed with American propaganda and in no way do they represent the intelligent and rational conseus of Reddit, just the majority unfortunatelly.
