What software did you use to build it? And what was the process like for putting it together? (Storyboards -> Animatics -> Animation?)

Can you describe your pre-production process a little bit? When you come up with an idea, how do you know it's a good idea that you wish to explore more? Do you storyboard your animations first, write scripts, or just start animating and see where the story takes you?
