I've been looking at getting into this in Canada, have a couple questions since we're likely looking at the same crops.

What type of drone are you using for corn and soybeans?

Can you post any examples that we could see an assessment of a crop or field and the value it adds? If not maybe what information you provide to the farmer?

How is dealing with the FAA? I live in Canada so for me it would be Transport Canada, from what I've read I would have to submit flight plans for every field. If you're a hobbyist currently in Canada you don't need a license, I guess we're similar that way, but I know Canada might be looking at changing it.

Can you ballpark the rates you charge or what someone should charge?

Also what are your thoughts on the Yamaha RMAX?

Very cool, been browsing over your comments and playing catchup. Watching the video's now as well from AgEagle. I've talked with Aeryon before but the cost was just too much, I've checked out crop cam but wasn't impressed enough and figured I'd wait.

With the data from the AgEagle is there a way to transfer it to a sprayer to be used to spray specific spots in a field? If so what brand of sprayer are you using?

Have you ever read about the RMAX for spraying? I figure eventually they'll have one for corn and soybeans to get these mass produced.

There's some who are so lost its not even possible to have a conversation with, we even see it now with anti-vaccinators in Ontario. I work in Ottawa but also farm part time with my father so I actually have this conversation regularly at lunch with people at my office as over the years they ask me questions about my families farm or general farming questions.

Last week I had a guy that was adamant that if I buy Monsanto seeds I have to use there spray (I do buy there spray if I buy there seeds, but I don't have to). I always take time at my job to explain farming to people who are several generations removed from the farm, but there's always some that are adamant I'm wrong bc they read it on the internet. I always ask for there source and if they want me to read it and show them some things that don't add up. Some will listen but others will just say I'm a shill or bc I have a lot of relatives that are farmers we're in on the conspiracy, that's when I know to walk away and they're admitting they won't use evidence or facts for this belief.

A good way to show them whats possible and local to Ontario:

I'll take those tomatoes any-day and imagine what we'll have in 10-20-30 years if we continue to develop the technology. If they don't see the potential and what we've been doing for centuries then they're a lost cause. Better to just avoid the topic with them is what I've found, you could point them to reddit threads or AMA's like Kevin Folta, but I've found most will just throw out more shill claims.

I know its bad in Toronto though, thats where Rachel Parent has her protests and supporters. Its mind blowing that she actually speaks at schools to other kids since she's ignoring a lot of science and fear mongering, but some idiot teacher gave her a medal for her speech. I'm actually debating about attending your anti-Monsanto rally wearing this just to see if anyone notices.

Is the McIntosh on the list? We have a 100+ year old one on our farm that still produces apples. We've had a couple guys come and graft off it, but its not as popular as it used to be.
