Hey rob, thanks so much for doing this! I'm a big fan of your work, both with NIN and otherwise. The images in the Ghosts book were fantastic.

  • What kind of gear do you, personally, use for photography? Not necessarily for NIN work.
  • What kind of workflow / software do you use for your imaging?
  • I've interacted with you a few times on the facebook and wanted to say that it's very cool that you and Trent really take part in NIN's media online; it's obvious that NIN's media presence isn't being entirely run by a PR firm. How much influence have you had in NIN's direction of media, particularly release policies, for the last few years? I see NIN as an industry leader in reforming the way music is recorded and distributed.
  • What's your favorite drink? The next time I'm in LA, can I buy you one? :-P
  • This is a question I usually ask bands / performers that I'm interviewing, but as a representative of NIN, perhaps you can answer it: if NIN were to enter the thunderdome in a two-bands-enter, one-band-leaves scenario, who would the other band be and why? Oderus Urungus already said Justin Beiber so you'll have to find someone else. If you can't answer this, I understand.

Prof. Lessig-

Can you provide a brief history of private money in public elections? While many people know that this is an issue, it seems to me that a lot of people don't understand how radically this has changed in recent years.

Thanks very much.
