My dad was adopted (white kid to white family) but his parents were finally able to have kids and ended up with two gingers who look nothing like his parents. I'm curious as to what the implant actually does? Where is it, what part of the brain? Why does it work? Etc. I scrolled pretty far down and haven't seen this question yet.

Also, why were you a candidate for this surgery and why are there no good pharmaceutical options?
