Totally agree. Not that long ago I was 21, and meeting and chatting with 18 year olds made me "feel old" cringe, let alone 15 year olds. I just don't buy the "I had no idea they were 6 years younger than me". That kind of age gap is noticeable at any age and especially so around there.
