That's great! The ending is incredibly frightening/tense - sticks with you.
Also loved how they worked Charlton Heston's character still into the film. Even though he didn't really want to make the film (so the legend goes), he seemed like a good sport about it all and it was such a creative way to have Heston's character come back in the end to participate in the climax. I don't know, I love it. Hey, thanks for the response!

My favorite would be Alfred Hitchcock, Stanley Kubrick and Jean-Pierre Melville.

Hey Matt and Michael,
Was wondering what your thoughts are on Beneath the Planet of the Apes (1970)?
Personally, I'm a fan and the film (the ending with the telepathic humans) scarred me when I was young.
