My Fiancee's dad teaches at a community college in the States in a specialty program for specialized equipment mechanics basically.

He had a person struggling to read and comprehend basic course material or even write in complete sentences. Person was a straight A student who had a 98 or so on the reading comprehension test. He confronted the people that gave those tests and they admitted that he got like a 27 on it the first time, but he had an IEP for special education and so THEY READ HIM THE READING COMPREHENSION TEST and let him answer the questions verbally... And apparently have been doing that for him for years including letting him dictate his papers so he doesn't have to type them down or understand punctuation or anything of that nature.

This was a guy who wanted to get into a highly technical field that would require reading and understanding many different equipment manuals and he couldn't read and yet had passed all the reading tests in high school and earlier with ease due to having them all read to him.

As a followup. Do you ever feel like you or your friend are not pulling their weight on the project and just using the other person's ability for profit?

I would liked to have asked both of you but only have one available.

I have considered going into business before with friends but am always scared it will mess up the friendship if one us is a slacker because we are working with friends rather than for a boss.
