Knowing how tiny the transistors are, when hearing about manufacturing defects, I've always assumed that it was something like not placing the transistor in the exact place it's meant to be at, or something as mundane as that. With the amount of transistors in the billions, it's mind-boggling that it's not that much of a concern. It just goes to show how incredible those manufacturing research guys are, I guess.
