It seems like this could be largely addressed by better enforcement in China and education with respect to traditional medicine. Is it getting better or worse with China's emergent middle class and international presence?

How does it work when police assault or detain journalists unlawfully? I assume the company follows up to get you guys released, but is there civil action? A complaint with the PD? Is there no legal recourse cause "oops, police forgot how to read"?

We hear a lot about asymptomatic people, people who recover from a bad case, and of course people who don't make it. But how effective is medical intervention for bad cases? Does early hospitalization significantly improve survival chances?
