I disagree. Reverence is absolutely necessary. Religious belief is not, but reverence as a concept covers far more than faith.

which would you prefer to listen to - a clone of an old song, or an imaginative cover version?

Best way of putting it I've ever read.

How is Unity coming along? I heard it's still in general fabrication and testing. Any thoughts on a timeline for test flights?

Also, harder question, how do you recover, psychologically, from something as tragic as the loss of Enterprise? Obviously you've been able to move forward and persevere, learn from mistakes both human and technological, and figure out how to prevent that kind of tragedy from happening again. But how do you reconcile the tragedy that is loss of human life with the unrelenting truth that space travel, especially new and innovative testing of space travel, is inherently dangerous? And do you think we'll ever get to a point where spaceflight is routine or even mundane (for the pilots; obviously going to space will be a once-in-a-lifetime experience for the passengers, at least for the next several decades)?

Final question: White Knight? There has to be a story behind that name.

Keep up the good work! I love your ambition and good humor. You remind me often of a not-crazy and more-effective Zaphod Beeblebrox.

The various interpretations of Hitchhiker's Guide took a lot of liberties with story elements in favor of new, quirky concepts and plotlines, such that the book, radio, and film versions were very different in a lot of ways. As you adapt this new work, are you (and the writers, producers, etc) striving to be faithful to the books, or are we branching in new directions?

It also seems like a perfect setup for some improv: how much input do the two of you have on characterizations, lines, or even story?

This is a book that touches on robots, ghosts, aliens, time travel, hypnosis, magic, fate, mythology, Chinese philosophy, and technology, and that's just the first one. How do you categorize the show? Sci-fi, fantasy, comedy, a mish-mash, or other?

And the elevator pitch: what would season 7 look like?

Obviously, the show version of Buffy ended a long time ago, and yet there is still enough of a following for comic series. What's it like, as a writer, to continue a mythos and storyline that has such high expectations, even though the story ostensibly ended with Sunnydale?

Another version of this question: do you see yourself being involved in Buffy-related media for the long haul? How is it juggling new projects like "Coherence" and a continuation of your life from several years ago?
