Please don't take this as an attack. I don't know much of your culture but I do mean to respect it. My experiences deal with my sister in law... Please don't think I'm applying a blanket prejudice.

My sister in law is native and works helping native women (and men) who are subject to domestic abuse. Apparently it's rather prevalent, at least where she grew up. I forget which tribe sorry.

Have you witnessed this? Do you have anything you could offer as advice or insight for someone experiencing this no matter their culture or location? Are there any specific native problems related to this? Laws, consequences, etc?

Ok nvm apparently I can't send PM on mobile. I work in the industry. I'm no longer a hiring manager but I've done everything web from design to dba to code monkey to solutions arch to manager.

I was going to offer to help if there was some way I could. Answer questions, tutoring or something I dunno. If you're interested and serious we can try to work something out. My time isn't very free right now but it will be soon.

So in your scenario... Isn't that against the whole ex post facto idea? It wasn't illegal when they made the canary, so they can't be punished for creating it. And if they say that the canary needs to be on a ventilator, they're violating the first amendment.

This is so radically fucked up that it's hard to make sense of it. Surely this one day winds up in the supreme court? What will it take?
