When I order something with tracking on it, (i.e. from Amazon) do you have to push a magic button for me to get my text that my package has arrived? How does this work? I've been wondering about this for awhile.

Told my boyfriend about the question I posed to you today. He laughed at me and said "don't you know how the internet works?" Let me just point out that it's creepy and the second they deliver it, they manage to alert my cell phone and it always makes me wonder...

EDIT: Forgot to point out that I'm happy that even you don't know exactly how that sorcery works...
