Having worked at BOA, I can tell you that the corruption is not limited to Wells Fargo.

Someone once gave me an answer to this question that stuck with me:

The employer lists requirements for a unicorn hire. A good company will understand full well that they are looking for a unicorn and that they will eventually end up hiring a horse. To get the job, you just have to be a horse.
