The stories get demonized because they're snakes. Plain and simple. I know for the majority of the retic community we don't mind permits. We do not need bans telling us what animal we can keep. Not all of us want ball pythons and corn snakes. These snakes are our passion. And, I appreciate the people who fight legislations trying to harm our hobby. As there are irresponsible dog owners who get themselves/others hurt. As will be with snakes. As far as the idiots we run across a few, but the responsible owners outweigh the irresponsible. And, nine times out of ten if you try to help the "idiots" they are willing to accept help and try to work towards giving the animal a better life.

8' May be plenty big. It depends if it's a male, female, locality, feeding habits. We build cages in the us and mainly cater to the retic community. Pm me if you have any questions. Not to take away anything from /u/cornels_world just throwing my .02 in the pot

Wow seems extremely big. I have a super dwarf/dwarf female retic that fits great in a 4x2x18". If someone asked us for a 4 deep 5' high they would definitely get a strange stare. But we do aim to please. Are you using xpvc?

That's what we use as well. Super solid material. The U.S. market is tight, but we offer some really cool options and competitive pricing and quality to match. But we're a new business just trying to keep our orders afloat until we're ready to expand. How big of a warehouse are you guys using, how many workers are you using, and how many racks and displays are you usually shipping a day? Sorry for all the questions just like to hear from the ones with experience.
