I feel it goes both ways. When I was in university in Canada in 2000-2005 my HK friends would NEVER talk to any mainlanders. They kind of looked down on them and thought they were uneducated and backwards. And I got the feeling they hated having mainlanders in HK

I get that Americans are pissed off Russia interfered in their elections (why are some people NOT more pissed off, like Republicans?), but it really comes back to bite them in the ass when you consider how many governments the CIA has helped to overthrow and then how many ppl they have helped to power. American governments/business interests have been doing what Russia is doing for decades. It is kinda hard to criticize others for doing it. But they have every right to be pissed off about it happening to them, just not sure why Trump isn't pissed off.

This kind of doesn't sound really fun. like how do you get to enjoy the parks if you are hitting multiple parks a day?

Its great that you are comfortable in your skin. I've lived solo for year a decade also, but sometimes just don't feel right going to places like restaurants or cafe alone.

lol, even in a normal mall here in Toronto Canada (Scarborough Town Center to be exact), the Tommy Hilfiger store has signs in Chinese. That tells you something.
