Hello Richard, I have various pain and inflammation issues from sports related injuries, as well as moderate-high social anxiety (some due to the pain and inflammation, some just because of my personality). NSAID's seem to help tone down the pain and inflammation, but I know these are very harmful to my body when taken in the doses I need them in. Prescription opiates and muscles relaxants seem to help me much more, but there are so many unwanted side effects that come from taking these medications, not to mention my fear of becoming addicted to them. I am interested in using marijuana to help me with my pain/inflammation, yet I'm afraid of the paranoia and enhanced social anxiety that I used to experience when under the influence of marijuana. Are their any strains of marijuana that help with pain/inflammation, yet don't make people paranoid and can actually reduce social anxiety? Also, I do not want to smoke it, but am curious about vaporizing (is this still harmful to one's health?). Ideally, I would take it as an edible, but it's my understanding that this can actually enhance anxiety and has different effects. Your input on these different points would be much appreciated.

One more question: In your opinion, do you think marijuana is addicting? Thanks.

I too would like to know about strains that don't trigger anxiety. I enjoy many of the effects of marijuana, but I get major anxiety/paranoia every time, so I stopped. I have heard that Indica strains and strains containing higher CBD levels are better for anxiety prone marijuana users. I would like to use marijuana to lessen anxiety and also for pain/inflammation...any tips on strains would be appreciated.

I am someone who used to get paranoid/anxiety while smoking weed, so I stopped. Ten years later, I am once again interested in using marijuana to help me with pain/inflammation issues, yet I'm afraid of the paranoia and enhanced social anxiety that I used to experience when under the influence of marijuana. Are their any strains of marijuana that help with pain/inflammation, yet don't make people paranoid and can actually reduce social anxiety?
