Thanks for a very interesting AMA, and I'm sorry you had to go through this trauma. I wanted to let you know I have also heard of phantom limb pain, I think it comes from reading a lot, historical fiction and maybe murder mysteries - occasionally you'll come across characters who have lost limbs and talk about phantom pain.
