I'm A CF specific nurse in Ohio. I knew there were other CF specific facilities around but don't know all of them. Where are you located? Our unit is small (11 beds) but we get to see a lot of kids!

Anyone with CF should never smoke or vape anything. At all. Like ever.

It orkambi but usually yes, you must be at least 12 to begin treatment. It is indeed for said mutation. It's a combination of a new drug developed by vertex pharmaceutical and their previous CF gene specific drug kalydeco. They're still fairly new but it's looking amazing for the patients who qualify. Like day and night amazing. Really an exciting time for CF specific medication.
